Author Guidelines
Context — Journal of the Humanities
Preparing scholarly work
Context welcomes clear, sustained humanities scholarship. Articles should present a focused argument, use descriptive headings where helpful, and identify the evidence on which the argument depends.
Citations, bibliography, and footnotes should be accurate and consistent. Quotations should be checked against the cited source. Authors should retain their source files and provide provenance and rights information for figures and other images.
Figures must include useful descriptive information for accessibility, including accurate alt text or enough information for it to be prepared. Authors remain responsible for quotations, permissions, and rights statements associated with their contributions.
Context’s technical submission specifications will be published separately when the submission system opens. The Scholar desktop environment and Publisher package-import workflow are not currently public submission services.
