Editorial Policy & Mission
Context — Journal of the Humanities
Purpose and practice
Context supports historically and critically informed work in the humanities. It welcomes interdisciplinary approaches to archives, texts, material culture, bibliography, place, memory, and information systems.
Published work should make its argument and evidence clear, identify sources responsibly, and respect provenance. Authors and editors should distinguish quotation from interpretation and acknowledge uncertainty when the surviving evidence is incomplete.
Context’s editorial and review procedures are being developed during this staging period. The journal does not yet publish a finalized peer-review policy.
